Dental Implant

Single tooth implant: Indication: to replace a missing tooth where its adjacent teeth are in good condition (photo 1).       1 2 3       4 5 6     Procedure: Implant is placed into jaw bone (photo 1), the patient then waits 3 to 4 months to ensure that the implant has been integrated into the bone (photo 2). An impression is then taken, the case is sent to lab to fabricate a crown (photo 3), and the crown will be installed. The whole procedure takes 5 to 6 months (photo 4,5,6). However in some cases, the implant can be done in just one appointment in our office. As an example, the following procedure shows how we replace a fractured front tooth hit by a hockey stick. The root tip is extracted, and an implant is placed immediately. Then a crown, fabricated by our Cerec 3, is inserted ion top of the implant. From the extraction to placement of implant, it takes only one visit. The benefits of this treatment are: Patient can have the tooth right away. It is done in a single visit. Preserves the bone due to the presence of an implant; the presence of an immediate tooth can also maintain the original gum profile. Please contact Dr. Steven Zheng for further informtion. Multiple implant: Indication: For patients who have no teeth and pateints who can not wear denture due to strong gag reflex. Procedure: teeth are extracted and implants are placed immediatly (photo1,2). Patient wear tempery denture  for 3 to 4 months to ensure the implants integrating to the bone. An impression is taken  (photo3) and the case is sent to lab fabricate non removable bridge (photo4,5,6). To replace a single tooth or multiple teeth in narrow bone ridge area.(photo 5,6,7,8,9) Procedure: In most cases, Mini implants can be placed without incision of your gum.
